Processing Instructions

Place a minimum of 2.0 mL Synovial Fluid in a EDTA Lavender Top tube. It is recommended that the synovial fluid be examined within one hour of collection due to WBC deterioration. If a delay in examination is unavoidable, the specimen should be refrigerated. This test is for a synovial fluid cell count only.
