Processing Instructions
Draw in a Gold SST or Red Top tube. Allow tube to clot for 30 minutes and centrifuge.

Clinical Significance
Establishing a diagnosis of an allergy to Codfish (Whitefish) IGE, Crab IgE, Lobster IgE, Salmon IgE, Shrimp IgE, and/ or Tuna IgE. Defining the allergen responsible for eliciting signs and symptoms.
Identifying allergens:
-Responsible for allergic disease and/or anaphylactic episode
-To confirm sensitization prior to beginning immunotherapy
-To investigate the specificity of allergic reactions to insect venom allergens, drugs, or chemical allergens
