Processing Instructions

Contact MCL to receive QFT-IN tube kit. QuantiFERON-TB Gold 4 tube kit (gray, green, yellow, purple). Volume of blood in each tube (1 ml) must be in the range of the black bar on the label. Immediately after filling tubes, invert them 10 times just firmly enough to ensure the entire inner surface of the tube is coated with blood to solubilize antigens on tube walls. DO NOT CENTRIFUGE. All tubes must be labeled with last name, first name, date and time drawn.

** If the tubes are not going to reach the lab within 12 hours, a client may incubate, centrifuge and refrigerate the tubes. They should include a card that states Quantiferon Pre-Incubated.
