Processing Instructions

Draw 2.7 ml in a Blue Top tube. Tube must be filled appropriately to the fill line to ensure accurate results. Tubes that are capped and unopened are stable for 24 hours at room temperature. If specimen will not be received in lab within 24 hours, centrifuge tube and remove plasma, centrifuge plasma again, and place 1 mL of platelet-poor plasma in an aliquot tube and freeze. (Double centrifuged specimens are necessary for accurate results).
