Processing Instructions

Collect in a lavender tube. Smears should be made within 1 hour of collection. Prepare 2-3 routine thin blood smears and 2-3 thick smears from the same specimen. Label slides with two patient identifiers. Allow slides to dry for at least 30 minutes. Thick slides may take longer. Package all slides in a slide carrier and send with the courier.
