Processing Instructions
Draw 2.7 ml in a Blue Top tube. Tube must be filled appropriately to the fill line to ensure accurate results. Centrifuge tube, aliquot 1.0 mL plasma, centrifuge plasma again, and place 1 ml of platelet-poor plasma in an aliquot tube and freeze.
Stability
Stability: Plasma: Room temp 2 hrs, Refrigerated 2 hrs, Frozen 24 months Whole Blood: tubes left capped/unspun are stable for 72 hours at room temperature.
Rejection Criteria
Rejection criteria: Refrigerated plasma.
