Processing Instructions

Collect neat urine in a screw capped plastic container. Thoroughly mix urine by inverting or vortexing the collection cup immediately prior to transfer into the Alinity Urine Transport Tube. Use the plastic transfer pipette to transfer the urine until the liquid level falls within the fill window on the tube label. Urine must be transferred within 24 hours of collection. 

**If the specimen won’t reach the lab within 24 hours, it must be transferred into an Alinity Urine Transport Tube, available via the MercyOne Supply Portal.
