Processing Instructions

Collect stone, fragments or filtered material and place in a clean, dry, sterile screw-capped plastic container. Send room temperature. Stones must be of kidney origin (kidney, ureter, bladder). Please provide source on container (if known). If multiple stones need testing, each stone must be placed in a separate container.

Rejection Criteria

Rejection criteria: Samples should be free of tissue, liquids, and non-stone debris. Samples wrapped in or attached to tape may prevent analysis. Do not send sample with a collection device (filter, syringe etc). Samplees in preservative are not acceptable.
